Bromham Conservation Group Sessions at Bromham Mill

If you have read the new Bromham Broadsheet you will know that the parish council is negotiating with the borough to take a lease on the Mill with the café likely to re-open this summer. It now looks possible that this could be as early as the beginning of July. To support re-opening the café we propose to make the outside of the Mill and grounds look as good as possible and are arranging several extra work sessions on top of our advertised programme. The tasks involved will range from dusting off and painting the barn buildings, renovating picnic benches, making up new planters, tending garden beds, clearing weeds and generally tidying up the area. There may be some cleaning to do inside the Mill itself, but this has not yet been arranged.

The enhanced BCG diary for the remainder of June will now be as follows, all at Bromham Mill:

Wed 9 June, 10am-12:30pm. Extra session.

Mon 14 June, 6-8pm. Extra session.

Wed 16 June, 10am-12.30pm. Regular session.

Mon 21 June, 6-8pm. Extra session.

Wed 23 June, 10am-12:30pm. Extra session.

Mon 28 June, 6-8pm. Regular session.

Wed 30 June, 10am-12:30pm. Extra session.

We know there are many calls on everyone’s time as we try to catch up with friends and relatives and, as ever, we don’t expect anyone to support every BCG event. However, if you can spare time to help at any of these morning or evening sessions, we will be delighted to see you. Just turn up at the Mill outside our base in Barn 2, bringing your own small garden hand tools if you can. If you would like further information on what we are planning, phone BCG chairman Phil Grabham on 07840 140166.
